Our Commitment
VanCon, Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our work, request a bid, and explore careers with us, regardless of ability or the technology they use.
Conformance Standard
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities. We use them as the benchmark for our ongoing accessibility efforts.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. As we add and update content, we work to:
- Provide meaningful text alternatives for images and non-text content;
- Maintain sufficient color contrast and readable text;
- Support keyboard navigation and clear focus indicators;
- Use descriptive headings, labels, and link text; and
- Design layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are continually working to improve, and we welcome your feedback.
Adjusting Your Experience
Your web browser includes built-in tools that can make the Site easier to use. For example, you can usually zoom in or out by holding the Ctrl key (or ⌘ Command on a Mac) and pressing + or −. Most browsers and operating systems also offer text resizing, high-contrast modes, and screen-reader support in their accessibility settings.
Employment & Reasonable Accommodations
VanCon is an equal opportunity employer. We provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply for a position or to use any part of our hiring process, please contact us using the information below and we will work with you.
Feedback & Requesting Assistance
If you encounter any difficulty using the Site, need information in an alternative format, or want to report an accessibility barrier, please let us know. We take this feedback seriously and will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or assistance you need. When you contact us, it helps to include the page address, a description of the issue, and the browser or assistive technology you are using.
