Project Overview
The Lakeshore Bridge crosses the Provo River on Lakeshore Drive and is 97 linear feet and 53 feet 8 inches wide. Preparation required 40,000 cubic yards of earthwork. The bridge installation included asphalt pavement and road improvements. In addition to the bridge, block retaining walls were installed on all locations to the bridge. Connection to the pedestrian trail, curb ramps, sidewalks and gutters completed the project. Concrete paving was completed during freezing weather conditions.

Utah County Two Bridges

VanCon demolished and replaced two bridges during winter conditions, one crossing an irrigation canal and requiring the reinstallation of sluice and canal gates and the reconnection of steel irrigation lines. Cast-in-place box culverts, headwalls, tail walls, aprons, and irrigation diversions were installed onsite. Traffic control was required and road paving completed the project.

Independence Bridge
Provo · Utah County · 2006
VanCon installed a five-lane wide bridge across the Provo River on Independence Avenue with abutments, block retaining walls, storm drains, Provo River Trail, and concrete murals. The concrete paving was completed in freezing weather conditions.
