Project Overview

VanCon built a 10-foot-wide paved trail between Tanner Park (2695 East) and Sugar House Park (1700 East) within the UDOT right-of-way on the south side of I-80. The trail included curb and gutter, curb ramps, storm drains, sidewalks, utilities, chain link fencing, retaining walls, concrete structures, steel bridges, highway concrete barriers, and W-beam guardrails. Work took 36,000 cubic yards of excavation and required embankment, grading, road signs, striping, and erosion control. The area included 1.25 acres of grass, trees, shrubs, and landscaping.
