Project Overview
Delivered under a CM/GC contract, VanCon built a 3.26 MG open-top irrigation water tank with connection to pressurized irrigation pipes, an access road, a riprap-lined drainage path, and 200 feet of new pressurized irrigation pipe. Through the CM/GC process, VanCon provided value engineering to replace a section of the ravine behind the tank with an underground pipe and two manholes, depositing excavated fill to create a level surface around the tank and enable vac truck access for future maintenance.

VanCon helped design and build a 3.28 MG concrete irrigation tank with an altitude vault, installed 7,000 feet of 24-inch ductile iron pipe, and built a pump station with two 200 HP vertical turbine pumps. Design assistance included mirroring the altitude vault and adjusting valves to navigate around existing infrastructure.

VanCon constructed a 1 MG reinforced, buried concrete water storage tank with overflow and storm drain piping. The plans called for two layers of vapor barrier, complex underdrain and piping, and detailed activity sequencing. The project was completed during a cement shortage throughout the state of Utah. VanCon installed temporary fencing around the project due to frequent entry of local people onto the site and coordinated with adjacent contractors and their subcontractors constructing the new subdivision next to the tank.
